Hey Folks,

In an attempt to keep the Wargaming History in Miniature forums pure and free corruption, I present the new and improved Greenhouse Forums.

http://greenhousegames.invisionplus.net/?mforum=greenhousegames&act=idx

By all means if you are talking about Historical Miniature Wargames keep it here.  But if you want to talk about how you just cut down a dozen zombies with your lightsaber head on over to Greenhouse forums.  I've felt funny posting Warhammer 40k or Battletech stuff here being Sci Fi rather than a Historical wargame.

Actually feel free to post in both places...  Just wanted to announce the Greenhouse forums are back up.

Enjoy,
Rob

Double purpose for this post.

1st is to say..."What do you expect for free?"  The new Greenhouse Forums are down and have been down for the last 16 hours.  Some Denial of Service attack or Hacker took down all the invisionplus.net servers.  (Looks at Poe  Lips sealed )  Hopefully they will be back up shortly.

2nd is to say... Greenhouse Games has a new Website.  www.greenhousegamesonline.com

Enjoy,
Rob

I'm sorry, but yet another web site is not working for me - too many passwords and user id's already, too many different web site chopping up what little wargaming we have in the area into individually wrapped slices of cheese.

I would love to run a game at Greenhouse on the 13th or 20th, but need a commitment that someone will show up to open the store.

Some Mid-February  WWII history:

February 13, 1940: After numerous delays, Adolf Hitler permanently cancels the Nazi German invasion of Britain, code-named Operation Sealion.

On February 15, 1942: Great Britain surrendered Singapore to the Japanese.

May those that love us, love us.
And those that don't love us, May God turn their hearts.
And if He can't turn their hearts
May He turn their ankles, so we'll know them by their limp.

Okay, I'll try and check in again next week.  Do you know when we should know if there will or will not be a game on Friday?

Generally, the guys check in on the Greenhouse site early in the week, Monday or Tuesday, to figure out if there will be enough people to play.  I agree, its been frustrating to have multiple sites to check but I cant really blame a store for wanting their own web site/forum.
